Iron On Patches
How to attach an iron-on patch
What you need
Iron-on patches
Item of clothing
An iron
Piece of cloth such as handkerchief
1. Prepare your clothing and the ironing patch
Before you iron on a patch it is best to test where you would like the patch to go. You can use safety pins to temporarily fix the iron-on patch into place.
Once you have settled on placement for the patch preheat the area with the iron.
2. Set the iron on patch
Place the iron on patch face up with the side of the glue touching the fabric. Make sure that you have a cloth such as a handkerchief inbetween the iron and the patch.
3. Apply heat
Apply pressure with the iron for approximately 30 seconds. After 30 seconds check that the edges of the patches are properly affixed to the patch. If not, apply more heat around the edge of the patch.
